In February 2023, the BCF's Board of Directors, senior representatives of the UK coatings and printing inks industries, unanimously agreed to support a commitment statement drafted by BCF’s ED&I Committee. The Board agreed with the following commitments:

An inclusive, diverse and equitable environment helps to build the foundation for our future; attracting top talent, fuelling innovation and ultimately ensure our sector truly represents our customers." The aim of the committee is understand how BCF can advance diversity and inclusion within the industry and support members to engage with initiatives on this topic.
