BCF Blog: New BCF Brexit Survey

03 September 2019

Tom Bowtell, BCF CEO

Two and a half years ago, we launched our first Brexit survey to gauge members’ views on Brexit- what they wanted to see, what they feared most, where there were opportunities, what they were planning to do in the event of a no deal Brexit. Since then, we’ve had a General Election, two Brextensions, a failed deal, and a new Prime Minister.

We have been using this information in our meetings with government officials over the last two years, and believe it reflected the mood of the industry at the time we launched the survey.

However, given all this political upheaval, we wanted to get fresh data from our members on Brexit. This will help inform government and industry alike on the views of our members and assist in directing the BCF’s Brexit strategy ahead of 31st October 2019.

The survey asks members a range of questions about how prepared they are for a no deal, their thoughts on UK REACH right through to how helpful trade deals and freeports could be in a post-Brexit Britain.

The survey shouldn’t take more than 15-20 minutes to complete, and we would urge BCF members to fill it out so they can have their voices heard on Brexit.

The survey can be found here, and closes on Tuesday 10th September 2019.
