{p}Seagulls is a social enterprise specialising in the reuse of leftover and unwanted paint. We have been collecting paint from Leeds City Council Household Waste Sites for 17 years and have diverted over 4 million litres of paint. We have a contract with Leeds City Council for the collection, redistribution and disposal of household paint. We are able to reuse over 180 tonnes of paint per year and have built a thriving enterprise around its collection and redistribution.. We process the paint in our main warehouse (based centrally in Leeds) and sell paint from this base and a satellite shop in another part of the city. We also sell value for money decorating equipment.{/p} {p}Seagulls is a busy people and planet centred Social Enterprise. We started with 3 main aims (and continue to remain true to them:{/p} {ol} {li}To generate income and be a self-sustaining enterprise.{/li} {li}To divert waste materials away from landfill for the benefit of the Leeds Community.{/li} {li}To create jobs for ourselves whilst providing volunteering, training and employment opportunities for marginalised people across Leeds.{/li} {/ol} {p}We also run a volunteer programme. Volunteering underpins the whole organisation, it is the reason Seagulls was developed.
